Had to head out of town for a family member's surprise birthday party. The party was a success and she had no clue that it had been set up.
Spent the morning around town with my sons while my wife did some volunteer work. We went on a nice walk and the boys split a blue berry muffin while I drank a short decaf. My wife surprised me with the new Scissor Sisters' CD. It's a great CD and I can confidently say that it has the best cover of a Pink Floyd song ever done by a gay disco band.
The real positive was going suit shopping before we headed out for the surprise party. My recent health kick is great, but none of my clothes fit. I was quite pround to learn that instead of a 46, I now wear a 42 atheletic cut (woo hoo!), and I have to have the pants taken in. All in all, I felt pretty good about myself.
We had a pleasent drive to the party and a good time there before turning in for the night. I was feeling quite good about myself and I felt that I really had a handle on things.
